The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has rolled out a detailed cybersecurity framework designed to protect digital infrastructure and boost online safety for consumers in Nigeria’s communications sector. This initiative was unveiled at a recent workshop in Abuja, where the focus was on the growing cybersecurity challenges posed by new technologies.
The framework is set to be put into action by telecom licensees in 2026. It aims to tackle the increasingly complex nature of cyber threats and highlights the need for a strong, flexible, and inclusive approach to cybersecurity.
