The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has issued a warning to motorists as the ember months approach, advising them to drive carefully to avoid accidents. In a recent statement, Nasir Mohammed, the FRSC Commander for the Sagamu-Ore-Benin Expressway, emphasized the dangers of speeding, stating that it can lead to severe crashes. He urged drivers to adhere to speed limits and obey road signs to ensure their safety and that of others on the road.
In addition to warning against high speeds, Mohammed strongly advised against night travel and reckless driving. He pointed out that drunk driving significantly impairs judgment and increases the risk of accidents. The FRSC plans to enhance public awareness and increase patrols to educate drivers on the importance of following traffic rules during this busy period.
As the end of the year approaches, the FRSC is committed to promoting road safety. They aim to reduce the number of road accidents by reminding drivers of the importance of responsible driving. Motorists are encouraged to take these warnings seriously to help prevent unnecessary tragedies on the roads.
