This tool automatically translates and lip-syncs videos, allowing creators to connect with viewers in different languages. With this feature, users can now watch Reels in their preferred language, making content more accessible to international audiences.
The translation tool not only changes the words but also recreates the creator’s voice and matches lip movements to the new audio. This gives the impression that the creator is speaking in the translated language, enhancing the viewing experience. Currently, the feature supports English-to-Spanish and Spanish-to-English translations, with plans to add more languages in the future. Creators can enable or disable the feature and review translations before posting.
Meta’s goal is to break down language barriers and help creators grow their followings beyond English-speaking audiences. The tool is available to Facebook creators with at least 1,000 followers and all public Instagram accounts. This initiative is part of Meta’s effort to boost engagement and allow creators to monetize their content more effectively.
