MTN Nigeria has announced its support for a new Cloud Accelerator Program by investing N100 million. This initiative aims to foster innovation among startups in Africa, bringing together 20 promising businesses in fields like fintech, healthtech, agritech, and edtech. The program will run for 12 weeks, providing these startups with access to MTN’s infrastructure, mentorship, and resources to help them grow and succeed.
During the launch event held at MTN’s headquarters in Lagos, Lynda Saint-Nwafor, Chief Enterprise Business Officer, emphasized the importance of this program for Africa’s digital transformation. She stated that the initiative is designed to create an environment where African entrepreneurs can thrive. Many of the selected startups, such as DoktorConnect, which focuses on preventive healthcare, and Regxta, which offers AI-driven banking solutions, have been recognized for their potential to impact the continent positively.
The Cloud Accelerator Program will culminate in a showcase event where startups can pitch their ideas to potential investors. This investment by MTN aligns with its commitment to promoting digital solutions and enhancing the technological landscape in Nigeria. By supporting these startups, MTN aims to drive growth and innovation across the continent.
