Air Peace, Nigeria’s largest airline, has announced the launch of direct flights from Abuja to London, starting on October 26, 2025. This new service will connect travelers directly to both Heathrow and Gatwick airports, making it the first Nigerian airline to operate direct flights from the capital city to these major UK airports. The initiative aims to provide more convenient travel options for Nigerians and the diaspora.
The airline is offering competitive round-trip fares starting from ₦1 million, along with generous baggage allowances. Passengers will also benefit from seamless connections to several key Nigerian cities, including Lagos, Port Harcourt, and Enugu, using a single ticket. This service is expected to enhance travel for Nigerians, providing easier access to the UK.
Dr. Allen Onyema, Chairman of Air Peace, expressed excitement about the new routes, emphasizing the airline’s commitment to making travel more accessible and affordable. He highlighted that the direct flights will boost trade and tourism, as well as support Nigerians seeking better travel options. To celebrate the launch, Air Peace is partnering with the Mainland BlockParty for a special event in London, offering attendees a chance to win return tickets to Abuja.
