President Bola Tinubu Appoints Abraham Oshadami and Rimini Makama as Executive Commissioners of Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC)
President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Abraham Oshadami and Rimini Makama as Executive Commissioners of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC). Oshadami will serve as the Executive Commissioner of Technical Services, while Makama will be responsible for Stakeholder Management at the Commission.
The reconstitution of the management of the agency was announced by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity.
The Nigerian Communications Commission’s governing body consists of a board of nine Commissioners, including three Executive members. Oshadami, previously the head of the spectrum database management at the NCC, will now assume the role of Executive Commissioner. Makama, who worked at Microsoft as the Government Affairs Director for MEA Emerging Markets, brings extensive experience in creating policy frameworks and facilitating the adoption of public cloud technology in various markets across the MEA region.
The appointments of Oshadami and Makama involve the replacement of Engr. Ubale Maska and Mr. Adeleke Adewolu, respectively, who previously held the positions of Executive Commissioners at the NCC.
These appointments are expected to contribute to the effective management and development of Nigeria’s communications sector, underlining the government’s commitment to advancing the digital economy.
