Mafab Gets 0724 Number Series, Launches Mcom 5G Brand

Mafab Communications has officially launched its mobile service infrastructure under the Mcom brand, introducing telecommunications services that include voice, data, and SMS. The Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) has confirmed the assignment of the 0724 number series to Mafab.

Dr. Musbahu Bashir, the founder of Mafab, stated that the company aims to revolutionize the telecommunications landscape as Nigeria’s first 5G standalone network provider. The original 5G license was awarded to Mafab in 2021, with expectations for a rollout by August 2022. While MTN Nigeria adhered to this timeline, Mafab requested and received an extension, culminating in this recent launch.

Mafab’s entry into the market is seen as a significant development in enhancing competition and expanding access to advanced telecommunications technologies in Nigeria.
