The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has approved a three-year national roaming agreement between MTN Nigeria and 9Mobile. This deal will enable 9Mobile subscribers to access MTN’s extensive network infrastructure across the country.
In a statement, MTN Nigeria confirmed that the agreement allows 9Mobile users to roam seamlessly on its network, particularly in areas where 9Mobile lacks adequate infrastructure. This collaboration aims to enhance operational efficiencies and promote better use of existing resources while expanding mobile connectivity.
MTN Nigeria’s CEO, Karl Toriola, expressed optimism about the deal, stating it represents a significant step towards industry collaboration and improving customer experience. He emphasized that strong partnerships between the private sector and regulatory bodies are crucial for delivering effective telecommunications services in Nigeria.
